HIGHLIGHT GP3 RACE WINNER

Adrien is the son of F1 legend Patrick Tambay. After karting debut at the age of 5, he later became French vice-champion, drove for the Factory Chiesa – Zanardi Team, finishing 3rd in the World Series of Karting championship and pole-sitter of the European Championship. In 2007 he moved to German Formula BMW ADAC, where he clinched the Rookie title. He joined ART Grand-Prix Team in the European F3 Championship but missed three rounds due to a concussion. 2010 saw him competing in the AutoGP series (1 win). Back to GP3, he won a race in Spa-Francorchamps. Adrien started 2011 racing the Monte-Carlo rally, which he finished third in his category. He joined forces with Pons Team for the Monaco round of the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, achieving a remarkable 7th place on his debut in World Series by Renault. Audi tested him and signed him to become one of its factory drivers in DTM. A maiden podium in Valencia and a fifth place in Zandvoort meant 28 points on his rookie season. In the first race of 2014 Adrien managed to get his maiden pole position in DTM.
